Today, Sunday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani voted to end the assignment of "Muhammad Hashim al-Ani" from the tasks of managing the fund for the reconstruction of areas affected by terrorist operations, and to appoint "Saad Faisal Amin al-Jubouri" as his replacement due to suspicions of corruption.
The government spokesman, Basem Al-Awadi, said in a statement received by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "as part of the government's procedures for examining suspicions of corruption and mismanagement in investing financial allocations to provide services to citizens, and based on the reports received and the available information, audit and investigation committees were formed that ended with a set of recommendations that were made." It was approved by the Prime Minister, and the recommendations include ending the assignment of (Muhammad Hashim Al-Ani) from the tasks of managing the fund for the reconstruction of areas affected by terrorist operations, and assigning (Saad Faisal Amin Al-Jubouri) the tasks of managing the fund in his place.
Al-Awadi added, "The government has prepared a detailed program to carry out administrative reforms in the fund, and exempt the negligent or reluctant employees, who caused the waste of public money, and the failure to achieve the required purpose of the fund," noting that "the government intends to launch a wide program for projects touched by citizens in the affected areas." From terrorist operations, it will help in reconstruction and create conditions for the return of the displaced to their areas of residence, as well as providing services to citizens in the provinces liberated from terrorism.
