    The spokesman for the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, Dilshad Shihab, announced the issuance of the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, a decision appointing 45 judges and 15 deputy prosecutors in the institutions of the judicial authority in the region.
    A spokesman for the region’s presidency said, in a statement received by “Baghdad Today,” that “Nechirvan Barzani issued a decision to appoint 45 judges from the graduates of the fourth session of the Judiciary Institute, after they completed two years of scientific and practical preparation,” noting that “these judges will be appointed as of the date of the decision.” and signed by the President of the Kurdistan Region, provided that they assume their duties in the judicial institutions of the region after taking the legal oath.
    He pointed out that "in the same context, 15 deputy prosecutors in the Kurdistan region will assume their duties, from those whose appointments have already been signed by the president of the region."
    The statement stated that "the appointment of judges and deputy prosecutors came to fill the void in this field and to serve and facilitate the affairs of citizens in the field of the conduct of the judicial process, especially in remote places and within the boundaries of new administrative areas such as Halabja Governorate and other independent administrations in the Kurdistan region."
    And the statement added that "the president of the region also issued a decision today to convert the Khalifan district into a district, and to convert the village of Sarishma into a district," pointing out that "this order enters into force as of the day the decision was issued, and that this decision is considered in all respects to facilitate and better service." Khalifan region and the residents of the region's borders.
