    Baghdad Today - translation
Both Iran and Italy welcomed the Iraqi government's moves to improve conditions in the region. While Tehran sent a "strongly worded" message to Rome, including a "position" towards Israel.
According to what was translated by "Baghdad Today" from the Iranian "Mehr News" agency, Tehran, through its ambassador in Baghdad, Muhammad Kazem, informed the ambassador of Rome in the Iraqi capital, Maurizio Gringatti, about its position in a letter addressed to the European Union authorities through its embassies in Baghdad regarding the current situation in The region and the position of those countries towards Israel.
Kazem criticized the "standards" adopted by "some" European countries in dealing with "crimes" against human rights, according to the Iranian agency, calling on the European Union to take a clear position "condemning" those crimes committed by the "Zionist entity."
Both Tehran and Rome praised what they described as "movements" of the Iraqi government regarding improving conditions in the region, as well as providing opportunities for joint cooperation between the two countries.
