    [rtl]Baghdad-Iraq today:

The Office of the President of the Republic committed a protocol error with an official statement, which is summoning the US ambassador to Iraq against the backdrop of statements made by a US State Department spokesperson regarding the Republican decree of Patriarch Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako. [/rtl]

[rtl]As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the only party that has the right to summon the ambassadors of countries, not the Presidency of the Republic.[/rtl]
[rtl]The Office of the President of the Republic had decided, earlier, to summon Washington's ambassador to Iraq because of the statements of the US State Department spokesman against the Iraqi government regarding the Republican decree to withdraw the Republican decree of Patriarch Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako.[/rtl]
[rtl]And the office stated, in a press statement: “Following Miller's statements on the recent decision to cancel the Republican Decree No. (147) of 2013 of Patriarch Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako, the Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Iraq is disappointed about the accusations leveled against the Iraqi government and the presidency regarding the decision.” The decision to cancel a presidential decree that is inconsistent with the country's constitution.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "Therefore, the Presidency of the Republic will summon the Ambassador of the United States of America in Baghdad regarding this issue."[/rtl]
