a member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Representative Waad Al-Quddo, confirmed, on Sunday, that the government has adopted 3 tracks in dismantling the oil mafias.
Al-Quddo said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, "The exceptional conditions that Iraq went through after 2003 and its challenges prompted the emergence of several negative phenomena, including the smuggling of crude oil from some provinces through mafias, some of which permeated the body of the security establishment."
He added, "The Sudanese government realized the seriousness of these mafias and their impact on the economy and national security, which prompted it to adopt 3 paths in dismantling them, the most prominent of which is monitoring and follow-up, leading to the collection of evidence, and then carrying out qualitative operations through which it succeeded in overthrowing large heads, some of whom have important positions in the security establishment." .
