    Today, Sunday (August 20, 2023), Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani directed that labels from the Mesopotamian civilization be given to the halls of the government palace.
    And the media office of Al-Sudani stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "to confirm the status of the Iraqi heritage and identity, and in order to consolidate the bright civilized names in our contemporary history and to be proud of them before the guests of Iraq and before the generations, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, directed the launch of names derived from the Mesopotamian civilization." With all its extensions, and the names of people who formed a milestone in the contemporary Iraqi culture and renaissance, in the halls and corridors of the government palace.

    He added: "These halls will be adorned with the names of Father Anastas Marie al-Karmali, the poet Muhammad Mahdi al-Jawahiri, Dr. Ali al-Wardi, the architect Zaha Hadid, and others, in fulfillment of those inspiring names for our present and future, and communication with the rich Mesopotamian heritage and evoking it; pride in front of the visitors and guests of Iraq and the consolidation of the extension of The government palace to the Iraqi state and its civilizational symbols.
