The National Data Center Department at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced that the number of beneficiaries of the Ur electronic portal has reached more than one million beneficiaries per month.
The director of the department, Ammar Mazhar Al-Tamimi, said, "The department is working to achieve three basic goals, namely, combating corruption, maximizing state revenues, and providing services to citizens," noting that "all of these goals can be achieved through technology through the national data center."
He added, "The national data center represents the basic base or infrastructure that it can provide to government institutions, so that the staff in the ministries can make their own applications or buy from the private sector or from anywhere, and add them in the national data center, so that transactions can be dealt with." With it quickly and smoothly," stressing that "data is saved in a comprehensive repository of all government data, which is called national data sovereignty."
He pointed out, "There is a problem with the infrastructure, but the government is determined to take real and serious steps in the field of infrastructure development, as the first phase of the national cloud project has now been implemented, and all requirements will be prepared and the ministry's systems will be hosted, in the form of various electronic services." It is the responsibility of the Ministry.
He stressed, "The department provided facilities to a number of government institutions, and the department also initiated electronic projects and services that were launched and completed, and we have the Ur electronic portal, which includes 299 electronic services, where the citizen can view all the details of those services."
He pointed out, "According to the statistics provided to us by international websites, the number of beneficiaries of the Ur electronic portal per month reaches more than one million beneficiaries," calling on citizens to "browse on the Ur electronic portal website, and they will be surprised by the size of the service applications on the site."
And he indicated, "The Ur portal website contains 299 services, and each of these services needs media promotion, to spread the importance of these services and introduce them to citizens."
