The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, directed that the operation headquarters in Kirkuk be delayed.
A statement of the Kirkuk governorate, which Mawazine News received a copy of, stated that "after a phone call from the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, the governor of Kirkuk, Rakan Saeed al-Jubouri, announced that he should wait to evacuate the operations headquarters in Kirkuk, and go to the demonstrators in front of the command headquarters, and talk to them about directing the president Ministers.
He added, "The demonstrators decided to withdraw the tents, end their sit-in, and open the road."
