    Today, Saturday (June 1, 2024), the head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the necessity of paying attention to the components of the Iraqi people in order to reach out to the peoples of the world and the region in a way that serves the country’s interests.
    Al-Hakim’s media office stated in a statement received by “Baghdad Today” that “Al-Hakim met with a number of Kurdish elites, including academics and heads of research centers.”
    According to the statement, Al-Hakim praised “the role of the elites in addressing societal, economic and political problems, while holding them responsible for communicating among themselves and taking the initiative in all files.”
    Al-Hakim said, “The Iraqis are a nation that includes important diversity, which requires managing and investing in this diversity so that the Iraqi components become bridges of communication with the peoples of the region and the world in a way that serves the country’s interests.”
    He stressed "spreading positives and optimism and informing people of the extent of the achievement that has been achieved," indicating "the importance of informing current and subsequent generations of the negatives and crimes of the Saddam regime and the killing, oppression, and confiscation of freedoms and tampering with capabilities that the Iraqi people suffered."
    Al-Hakim pointed out "the importance of sustaining the dialogue between Baghdad and Erbil," explaining that "meetings and dialogues under the umbrella of the constitution and applicable laws are sufficient to resolve the outstanding problems."
    Al-Hakim expressed his "optimism to proceed with the project to localize salaries for employees of the Kurdistan region, similar to the rest of the employees of the Iraqi state."
