A delegation from the Ministry of Oil visits Maysan to review the preparations for the start of actual operation of the gas investment and processing project in the Halfaya oil field.

[rtl]Al-Amara / NINA / The Director General of the Missan Oil Company, Hussein Kazem Laibi, received the delegation of the Ministry of Oil coming to visit the Gas Investment and Processing Project (GPP) in the Halfaya oil field.
The delegation included the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Energy Affairs, Fayyad Hassan Nimah, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Distribution Affairs, Eng. Ali Maaraj, the Undersecretary for Gas Affairs, Dr. Izzat Saber Ismail, and the Director General of the Studies Department, for the purpose of reviewing the preparations to begin the actual operation of the project.
The delegation made a visit to the site to see the facilities that were constructed during the completion period, which included liquid gas loading platforms and sulfur warehouses to be produced from the project. Later in the visit, a meeting was held with the main operator of the Halfaya oil field, PetroGina Company, to discuss the preparations and the mechanism for discharging the products that were produced. It includes dry gas, liquid gas, gas condensate, and sulfur.”
The advisor to the Prime Minister stressed the need for the project to meet the basic requirements and that it is moving in the right direction within the plan prepared to provide the needs of electric power generation stations from gas.
For his part, the Director General of the Maysan Oil Company confirmed that the gas investment and processing project comes within the government strategy and ministerial plan aimed at ending the issue of flared gas and investing in gas fields to achieve self-sufficiency in gas, and that the development of the Halfaya field will provide the necessary quantities of gas to maintain electrical energy in the governorate./ To[/rtl]
