    Political analyst Qasim Al-Tamimi said on Monday that Masoud Barzani had previously threatened to resort to other options intended to use the relationship between Washington and Erbil in order to ensure that the American administration pressures Baghdad to grant the region the money it wants.

    Al-Tamimi told Al-Maalouma, “Masrour Barzani had begged Baghdad during his recent visit to the capital in order to obtain funds, as the Kurdish delegation getting what it wanted goes back to Masoud Barzani’s letter a week ago, during which he decided to resort to other options in the event that Baghdad did not fulfill his needs.” "with its obligations." 

    He added, "What was stated in Barzani's letter to Baghdad and his talk about resorting to other options confirms that this person wanted to seek help from the American side in order to put pressure on Baghdad and obtain money." 
    He stated that "the amount that covers the region's salaries amounts to 800 billion dinars per month, as Baghdad and Erbil reached a settlement whereby the government grants an amount of 700 billion dinars per month to the region, and this matter was done under the guise of partisan political bargaining, far from the constitution and the law." Ended 25 n
