    Information/Baghdad..
Political voices are mounting calls for redrafting the unfair Khor Abdullah Marine Navigation Agreement to prevent it from being completely transferred to Kuwait, amid warnings of the consequences of neglecting the file and remaining silent for the sake of political niceties.

Marine Captain, member of the Marine Syndicate, Ali Al-Aqabi, confirms the invalidity of the navigation agreement with Kuwait in Khor Abdullah, indicating that the creek is Iraqi and cannot be granted to Kuwait in any way.
Al-Aqabi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “Signing the border demarcation agreement with Kuwait is invalid and an international legal violation. Therefore, we demand that the border demarcation agreement with Kuwait be restored or cancelled.”
He added, "The Federal Court threw the ball in the court of the Iraqi government regarding the border demarcation agreement with Kuwait," noting that "navigation in Khor Abdullah must be restored to the benefit of Iraq, and the Kuwaiti side is occupying the creek."

He pointed out that "there must be experts specialized in demarcating the land and sea borders with Kuwait," explaining that "Khor Abdullah is Iraqi par excellence with the presence of historical evidence and there is official recognition by Kuwaiti officials of this."
In a statement to Al-Maalouma, member of the Rights Movement, Hussein Al-Karaawi, criticized the attempts to abort the lawsuit regarding Khor Abdullah, pointing out that Kuwait’s continued attempts to control the only sea port to Iraq and strangle it economically will lead to battles.

Meanwhile, Hussein Al-Karawi, a member of the Rights Movement, criticizes the attempts to abort the lawsuit regarding Khor Abdullah, pointing out that Kuwait’s continued attempts to control the only sea port to Iraq and strangle it economically will lead to battles.
Al-Karaawi told Al-Maalouma, “Iraq is going through major problems with Kuwait, which seeks to seize territorial waters, deprive Iraq of its rights, and close the country’s only sea port.”
He added, "There are interventions from some political parties to thwart and ensure that the lawsuit filed by the representative of the Rights Movement, Saud Al-Saadi, before the Federal Court regarding Committees 123 and 110 regarding Khor Abdullah will not take effect, as it was hoped that a ruling would be issued in the case about a week ago to cancel everything that resulted from it." These committees.

He stated, "Iraq will collapse economically and the sea route from Kuwait will beg for the passage of goods, if Kuwait gets what it wants by controlling territorial waters and depriving Iraq of its rights, and this matter will lead to major problems and battles with Kuwait."
     Holding former negotiators accountable
In addition, the Vice-Chairman of the Integrity Commission, Alia Nassif, accused the Iraqi negotiating delegation during the year 2013 of compromising on Iraq’s interests.
Nassif said in a statement followed by “Al-Ma’louma” that “government officials signed thirty-six minutes with Kuwait that included concessions on Iraq’s rights.”
She added, "The committee will file lawsuits against the negotiators who waived Iraq's rights, and the minutes papers in which Iraq's rights were waived to Kuwait will be presented during the coming days."

She pointed out that "the Foreign Ministry is making peace with Kuwait and has not reserved any reservations about its violations of Iraq's rights, and all the details will be revealed to public opinion."
The head of the Parliamentary Rights Bloc, Saud Al-Saadi, had called, in a statement to “Al-Ma’louma”, on the Iraqi government to implement the Federal Court’s decision invalidating Law No. 42 of 2013, which concerns the ratification of the agreement regulating maritime navigation between Iraq and Kuwait in Khor Abdullah.
