An Iraqi-Qatari-French alliance approves a package of projects

Baghdad: Saad Al-Sammak,
Deputy Minister of Oil and Chairman of the Joint Management Committee for the Total Integrated South Project, Bassem Muhammad Khudair, announced the approval of a project package worth $180 million. Khudair told "Al-Sabah": An alliance that includes the French Total Energy, Qatar Energy, and the Basra Oil Company held its first meeting, while two meetings will be held during the months of October and December of this year to discuss and follow up "the projects that were approved at the first meeting yesterday, Sunday." He added that The approval includes the purchase of electronic sensors for oil wells, oil pipelines, and consulting contracts for giant oil, gas, water, and electricity projects that are planned to be completed in service within the year 2027 at the latest.
