    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani directed all state institutions and officials to prevent the use of state resources to support candidates for the provincial council elections scheduled for next December 18, and to preserve the principle of equal opportunities and equality.
    A statement from the Prime Minister's Media Office stated that the Prime Minister supervised the holding of the second simulation of the provincial council elections, organized by the Independent High Electoral Commission, in the presence of the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, and a number of representatives of political entities.
    Al-Sudani explained that the governorate council elections receive direct attention and follow-up from the government, as they represent a constitutional entitlement and a commitment to its government program in holding elections that were delayed ten years. He pointed out that the commission was supported by a package of decisions taken by the Council of Ministers, to facilitate work and secure the necessary financial allocations, as well as About the supportive measures from the ministries and governors, to provide everything related to the logistical aspects and complete the requirements.
    He explained that the simulation process includes 920 electoral centers throughout Iraq, including the Iraqi Kurdistan region, and it is a completely electronic process, in which the human factor has no role, as the reliability of the devices was verified and confirmed in accordance with the law, through the programs of the Commission and examining companies, stressing that the presence of representatives Political entities and forces, in order to reassure and examine the integrity of the conduct of the electoral process by the participants.
    He stressed that there are programmes, procedures and teams assigned to oversight bodies, and special committees to follow up on state institutions and officials, ensure that state resources are not used to support their candidates, and maintain the principle of equal opportunities and equality.
    In this context, the Office of the Election Commission in Kirkuk conducted a successful experimental simulation of the voting process, in the presence of representatives of civil society organizations and political entities.
    The media official at the Commission’s office in Kirkuk, Ali Abbas, told “Al-Sabah”: “The office is accompanied by 43 electoral centers; In 44 polling stations in the governorate, he conducted an experimental simulation of an integrated voting process using electronic devices for the purpose of testing it.
    He stated that “the process took place under the watchful eyes of observers from civil society organizations and political entities,” stressing that with this, “the Kirkuk Election Commission has completed all its preparations for holding the upcoming provincial council elections.”[/size]
