Labor registers 20 private sector companies on the “Mahan” platform

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs provided 10,000 training opportunities for widows and divorced women during the past months, in addition to providing them with soft loans, while twenty private sector companies registered on the Muhann platform.
The Director General of the Department of Labor and Vocational Training Agency, Abbas Fadel Abbas, told Al-Sabah that the Ministry worked to provide 10,000 training opportunities for widows and divorcees, through its affiliated vocational training centers, after submitting them through the electronic (Mahan) platform, in addition to giving them A sum of money during the training days, and included them in soft loans after completing the training period, pointing out that the launch of the (Mahan) platform came to organize the labor market and provide those registered in the database through it to obtain a job opportunity or a soft loan. He added that during the current month of October, the Ministry registered twenty private sector companies with different specializations on the aforementioned platform, for the purpose of enabling young people to find jobs that suit them on the one hand, and facilitating employment procedures and saving effort and time for company owners on the other hand.
Abbas pointed out that (Mahan) is the first government platform of its kind that is concerned with providing training, employment and qualification to the included groups, with the aim of subsequently inserting them into the labor market and thus gradually reducing the phenomenon of unemployment.
