Hamas demands the immediate implementation of the UN resolution calling for a permanent truce Klhrekgher

{International: Al-Furat News} The Hamas movement welcomed the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly calling for an immediate and permanent humanitarian truce, demanding that the resolution be implemented immediately.
In its emergency session, held on Friday, the United Nations General Assembly voted on a draft resolution submitted by the Arab Group and the Permanent Mission of Palestine, calling for an immediate and permanent humanitarian truce leading to a cessation of hostilities.
The resolution received 120 supportive votes and 14 opposing votes, while 47 member states abstained from voting.
The final draft of the Arab draft resolution included 14 procedural paragraphs calling for, among other things, ensuring immediate, complete and sustainable access to humanitarian aid. It also called for canceling the order issued by Israel to Palestinian civilians and humanitarian workers to evacuate the areas north of Gaza and head south.
The resolution strongly rejects any attempts to forcibly transfer the Palestinian civilian population.
The draft Arab resolution stresses the need to expedite the establishment of a mechanism to ensure the protection of the Palestinian civilian population, and a mechanism for humanitarian notification to ensure the protection of United Nations and all humanitarian facilities and to ensure the unhindered movement of aid convoys.
The resolution stresses the importance of preventing further escalation of violence and avoiding its spread to countries in the region, and reiterates that a just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict can only be achieved by peaceful means and on the basis of the two-state solution.
The vote on the Arab draft resolution was preceded by a vote on a Russian and American draft resolution, neither of which obtained the number of votes necessary for its adoption.
The draft resolution, drafted by Jordan and sponsored by about 40 countries, focuses on the humanitarian situation in Gaza and specifically calls for the provision of water, food, fuel and electricity “immediately” and “in sufficient quantities” and the access of humanitarian assistance “without obstacles.”
The text also condemns "all acts of violence directed against Palestinian and Israeli civilians, especially terrorist acts and indiscriminate attacks." He expresses his "deep concern about the recent escalation in violence since the October 7th attack," without explicitly mentioning Hamas.
