    The US Department of Defense (the Pentagon) announced on Tuesday that the United States will send 300 additional soldiers to the Middle East, whose primary mission will be to provide support in several areas, including dismantling explosive devices and communications, according to Reuters.[/size]
    [size=45]Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said that the forces will depart from the United States but will not head to Israel.[/size]
    [size=45]He added: “Its goal is to support deterrence efforts in the region and enhance the capabilities of protecting American forces.”[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that this month witnessed 27 attacks on American forces in Iraq and Syria.[/size]
