Today, Thursday, November 2, 2023, in Baghdad, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Muhammad Al-Halbousi.
During the meeting, ongoing cooperation and coordination between the House of Representatives and the Presidency of the Republic were discussed, in addition to discussing a number of necessary laws and the importance of legislating them.
The meeting also discussed developments in the political and security situation in the region, the situation in the Gaza Strip, the humanitarian crisis, and efforts to stop the war.
The two presidents also opened the Office of the Presidency’s Representative Office in the House of Representatives, as this step comes with the aim of enhancing constructive cooperation between the Presidency of the Republic and the House of Representatives.[/size]
