    Information/Baghdad…
Member of the Parliamentary Transport Committee, MP Aqeel Al-Fatlawi, confirmed on Wednesday that there were no exceptions or retreat from the decision to change the working hours of institutions to reduce traffic congestion in Baghdad.

Al-Fatlawi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “Traffic traffic in Baghdad is constantly increasing, especially with the large number of vehicles and the increase in the number of housing, in addition to it representing a point of attraction for hundreds of thousands daily on official working days from various governorates, and its frequency increases with the beginning of the working hours of institutes and colleges.” .
He added, “There are no exceptions to the working hours of government institutions and bodies in terms of delaying or advancing working hours at the present time, and if it were approved, the same problem would remain because they are essentially miserable solutions that do not rise to a solution to the problem that requires three direct visions: expanding roads and bridges and opening up the mechanisms of annual roads in addition to To revive the Baghdad metro and suspended train projects, which represents a long-term strategic solution.”
He pointed out that "traffic momentum requires unconventional solutions that rely primarily on the experiences of countries that have suffered from momentum in drawing a road map that contributes to its implementation according to a future vision for Baghdad and the rest of the large cities."
Baghdad suffers from severe traffic congestion, especially during official working hours, which leads to delays in the arrival of many people to their departments.” Ended 25 February
