Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein, confirmed on Monday that the Iraqi government is working on a comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza, not a truce, and is also working on introducing continuous aid to the residents of Gaza. He also stressed at the same time the dangers of armed faction operations in Iraq, On the international coalition forces.
Hussein said in his opening speech at the fourth meeting of the Middle East Peace and Security Forum, hosted by the American University of Kurdistan in the city of Dohuk, that “there are different scenarios taking place in the current war. In the beginning, our policy in the Iraqi government is to work to establish a Palestinian state. Mr. Al-Sudani raised the issue of rebuilding Gaza in various forums.

He added, "There are different trends in the Iraqi political arena related to the policies of the different parties. There are trends that call for linking the presence of the coalition and advisors in the Iraqi arena to the war with Gaza, and there are other trends that see this as an Iraqi issue, leading to many problems in the Iraqi reality, including Kurdistan." Therefore, the Iraqi government is striving, whether with neighboring Iraq or Islamic and European countries, for continuous communication with decision-makers, especially in Washington, to influence and pressure Israel to stop the war on Gaza.”
Hussein said, “It is known that some countries want to limit the scope of the war. Israel is seeking that, and to limit it to Gaza, and this is Washington’s approach, but there are policies in the region that seek to continue the war and not expand it, that is, a permanent war but without expansion, that is, a war of attrition.” This matter will affect the Iraqi interior and component relations, so the effort and work to stop the war will continue.”

The Iraqi Foreign Minister pointed out that “the Iraqi government, especially Mr. Sudanese, is seeking to convince the factions that believe that there is a link between the foreign presence in Iraq and the war on Gaza, that some operations are not in the interest of stability in Iraq, and are not in the interest of the security situation in Iraq, and there are "Huge risks."

Hussein said: "If these operations continue, and there are casualties, the question is, what will be the reaction of others, especially the coalition forces, from a military and security standpoint, and will they have political and economic consequences? We are all facing challenges."
