    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani appreciated the position of the Swiss side and its cooperation with Iraq in returning precious artifacts, while pointing out that stopping the aggression against Gaza is the key to returning stability to the region.

    The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a press statement, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani met in Davos with the President of the Swiss Confederation, Viola Amherd,” noting that “the meeting dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries, and in ways to develop them in various economic, banking, security, diplomatic, and cultural fields.” “And agreeing to start bilateral consultations for the purpose of activating the joint committee between Iraq and Switzerland, which has been suspended for more than three decades.”

    He added, “The vital development road project and the important opportunities in it that Swiss companies can invest in and participate in were discussed.”

     The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for "the position of the Swiss side and its cooperation with Iraq in returning precious artifacts belonging to Iraqi civilizations that were smuggled during the past years."

    Regarding the war on Gaza, he stressed that “stopping the aggression is the key to returning stability to the region, and it also constitutes a moral and humanitarian responsibility that falls on the international community, the European Union countries, and the rest of the major countries.”

    For her part, Amherd affirmed “her country’s support for efforts to stop the war and end the suffering of the Palestinian people,” expressing “Switzerland’s readiness to provide all forms of urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.”[/rtl]
