Dhi Qar Governorate Reconstruction Fund completed five strategic projects in the municipalities, health sectors, and the construction of modern roads in a number of cities included in the reconstruction projects plan.
The head of the Governorate Reconstruction Fund, Engineer Muhammad Jawad Al-Zaidi, told Al-Sabah: The projects were implemented 100 percent and were delivered to the beneficiaries, pointing out that work is continuing at an increasing pace on two other projects in the Batha district within the Fund’s project plan for the year 2021 and the emergency support law for food security. For the year 2022.
Al-Zaidi confirmed that all projects in the governorate targeted the municipalities, sewage, water, roads, bridges and health sectors, in addition to completing the construction of streets with integrated infrastructure, sewage networks, lifting stations, rehabilitating water complexes, establishing a water complex with a capacity of 100 m3/hour, and rehabilitating and paving various roads, while work continues on the project. Transforming the health center in Al-Batha district into a 20-bed hospital with a completion rate of about 95 percent, in addition to furnishing the hospital with medical and service equipment and establishing a doctors’ home with a completion rate of 41 percent. These projects will contribute to improving the service reality of the district and raising the percentage of areas served in it.
