Today, Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to amend the Iraqi Penal Code.
The Parliament’s Media Department stated in a statement received by Mawazine News, “The House of Representatives voted on the law amending the Iraqi Penal Code No. 111 of 1969.”
Earlier today, Wednesday, the House of Representatives held its session, headed by Mohsen Al-Mandalawi and attended by 174 deputies.
The Council’s Media Department stated in a statement received by Al-Rabaa that “Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, opened the work of Session No. (17), of the fifth electoral cycle, third legislative year, first legislative term.”
She added, "The session was held in the presence of 174 representatives."
