The Minister of Labor, Ahmed Al-Asadi, directed the allocation of 100 loans to returnees from abroad, and a direct application and receipt mechanism.
A statement from the Ministry of Labor stated:
Minister of Labor: Extending the period for receiving borrowers to promote their transactions from three months to six months.
Minister of Labor: Allocating 100 loans for returnees from abroad, applying and obtaining them directly.
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Asadi, directed to extend the period for promoting loan transactions for job seekers, whose names appeared in the meals, from three months to six months, so that they can complete the legal procedures required of them and submit a study on their projects.
This came during his chairmanship of a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Small Income-Generating Enterprise Support Fund on Thursday, 3/28/2024.
He also directed the allocation of 100 loans to young people returning from diaspora, to be applied for and obtained directly, to establish their income-generating projects and provide them with a decent life.
For his part, the Minister stressed the need for the department to adopt a new electronic program, consistent with the amendment to the loan law and the size of the amounts granted to borrowers according to their projects, because the old program was simple, because it granted an amount of 8-10 million dinars compared to the current amendment, and the launch of Phase 41 of soft loans for projects. Generating income for more than 2,800 borrowers, indicating that this meal included, for the first time, loans within the new lending ceiling after the amendment was made to it, as it included about 716 beneficiaries of social protection, as the loans ranged between (20-30-50) million dinars, distributed among the governorates. According to population percentages and the percentages of job seekers registered with the Ministry.
During the meeting, the launch of loans granted within the package (37) (38) (39)(40) that was launched within the government program was reviewed, and mechanisms for ensuring the realization of loans and benefiting from them and the inclusion of workers in them with social security were discussed, and the loan amount was calculated based on the law, in addition to facilitating the procedures for... Disclosure of the project. It may be a small project, and it is developed and the loan amount is granted on its basis, on the condition that the largest possible number of job seekers are employed.
