Today, Wednesday, member of the Parliamentary Agriculture Committee, Rafiq Al-Salhi, held the Kurdistan region responsible for the hit on local production.

Al-Salhi told Al-Maalouma, “Official reports confirm that the Kurdistan region’s unofficial outlets are not subject to the authority of the federal government.”
He stated that "the regional government bears responsibility for harming local production by not adhering to the decisions of the federal government related to stopping the import of crops that, according to their growing seasons, achieve self-sufficiency."
He called on "the federal government to use its constitutional powers to confront unofficial outlets that are harmful to the national economy with strict and strong legal steps."
He stressed the importance of "subjecting all land, sea and air border crossings of the Kurdistan region to the authority of the central government."
He called for "the closure of illegal crossings, which are considered one of the most important loopholes affecting the country's security and national economy." Ended / 25 H
