    The Parliamentary Services Committee confirmed, on Tuesday, that the House of Representatives is awaiting the arrival of a draft law on slums from the government, which will regulate agricultural lands and encroachments. 
    Committee member Mahdia Al-Lami said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The slum law will address the housing crisis in the country, and the government has a tendency towards owning slums for their occupants and providing them with the best services.” 
    She added that “the slum law is in the corridors of the government and we expect it to be sent soon to the House of Representatives to expedite its discussion and approval during the current parliamentary session,” noting that “the law is one of the important laws that the House of Representatives seeks to legislate during the current parliamentary session.” 
    She indicated that “the law It will work to organize homes and limit abuses, and it is still in the corridors of the government and is expected to be sent to the House of Representatives.”
    The Parliamentary Services Committee had previously called on the Council of Ministers to expedite sending the draft abuse law to Parliament in order to proceed with its legislation. Ended / 25 hours
