Today, Sunday, Minister of Water Resources Aoun Dhiab announced that a number of measures have been taken to communicate with neighboring countries regarding the water issue.
Diab said in his speech during the Fourth Baghdad International Water Conference: “The Baghdad International Water Conference aims to be a gateway to joint cooperation on water,” stressing that “a number of measures will be taken that will communicate with neighboring countries about this file.”
He added, "Limited water resources pose a challenge to Iraq," pointing to "the Ministry of Water Resources' focus on sustaining water and distributing it fairly."
He pointed out that "Iraq is one of the countries most affected by climate change," stressing "the need for international support to support its position to confront the challenges."
