The Emirati company Dana Gas announced the temporary suspension of production in the Kormor field in Chamchamal district in Sulaymaniyah Governorate after it was targeted on Friday.
Dana Gas explained in a statement today, Monday, received by Mawazine News, that the company and its partners are in full coordination with the authorities of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, and at the highest levels, in supporting the declared commitments of the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.
At the same time, the company confirmed its aspiration to resume production operations in Cormor "as soon as it is safe to do so."

Dana Gas Company (PJSC) informs you that one of the liquid storage tanks within the Khor Mor facilities of Pearl Petroleum Company in the Kurdistan region of Iraq was subjected to a terrorist attack by a drone at 6:45 pm on Friday. Corresponding to April 26. This attack led to the death of four contractor employees and the wounding of eight others with minor injuries.
All employees of Dana Gas and its partners express their sincere condolences to the families of the victims and their colleagues, and the company is taking all measures that will alleviate the suffering of those affected by this tragic event.
The company confirms that maintaining the health and safety of all its members, including employees and contractors, is its top priority.
Although there was no significant damage to the facility, to ensure the safety of our employees and operational facilities, production operations were temporarily suspended, and procedural changes were introduced.
The company and its partners are in full coordination with the authorities of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, at the highest levels, in support of the authorities’ declared commitments to bring the perpetrators to justice. This attack has sparked widespread regional and international condemnation, and has also generated support for immediate action. In addition, we are also working with the authorities. Government efforts to enhance security and defense measures to allow the resumption of production operations at the Khor Mor facility.
The company affirms its firm commitment to the people of the Kurdistan region and Iraq as a whole and all parties associated with it, and we look forward to resuming production operations in Khor Mor as soon as it is safe to do so.
