    {Politics: Al Furat News} Today, Saturday, during his meeting with a number of journalists, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein presented a comprehensive presentation on Iraq’s participation in the NATO summit held in the capital, Washington, pointing to the pivotal role that Iraq plays in security issues on the international scene.
    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs media stated in a statement received by {Al Furat News}, that "the Iraqi embassy in Washington hosted a number of representatives of American and international media in an extended meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein." 
    During the meeting, the minister presented a comprehensive presentation on Iraq's participation in the NATO summit held in Washington, DC, pointing to "the pivotal role played by Iraq in security issues on the international scene. He also discussed developments in Iraqi-American relations and the most prominent milestones witnessed during the recent period, stressing the partnership between the two countries." 
    Minister Hussein reviewed "a number of important regional and international files before the attending journalists, highlighting Iraq's ongoing efforts to enhance security and stability in the region, and its effective contribution to combating terrorism and extremism." 
    He stressed that "such meetings enhance mutual understanding and convey a clear picture of Iraqi foreign policy and its future directions, stressing the importance of dialogue and cooperation in facing common challenges."
