    [rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Ministry of Planning signed a contract today, Tuesday, with the Austrian company (TUV Austria), stipulating that the company be granted a license for inspection and examination, to issue a certificate of conformity in the country of origin exporting goods imported to Iraq.

    The contract was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Planning by the head of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, Hussein Ali Daoud, while on behalf of the Austrian company it was signed by the Managing Director in Iraq, Firas Mu'ayyad Hassan.

    Hussein Ali Dawood said in a statement: "Today, we signed a licensing contract to issue a certificate of conformity and inspection in the country of origin for goods imported to Iraq with the Austrian company (TUV Austria), which is one of the European companies operating in many countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran, due to the large trade exchange with it, indicating that the company will provide inspection services and issue a certificate of conformity for goods imported to Iraq in a way that guarantees the health and safety of the consumer.

    He pointed out that this partnership is a step towards improving economic and trade relations with Austria, and as a result will contribute to strengthening relations between the two sides, calling on the company to carry out its duties according to the provisions of the contract as soon as possible in order to secure the necessary procedures for the quality of goods and services provided.

    For his part, the Austrian Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, Andrea Nasi, who attended the signing ceremony, explained that this partnership is a unique contribution towards Iraq's recovery by obtaining good goods. He added, "This contract will contribute to facilitating the procedures for importing goods into Iraq and subjecting them to prior inspection and examination procedures."     Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Planning signed a contract with the Austrian company (TUV Austria) stipulating that the aforementioned company be granted a license for examination and inspection, to issue a certificate of conformity in the country of origin exporting the goods imported to Iraq.
