Al-Janabi said in a statement, "The session hosting the Minister of Water Resources that took place this morning will remain open until the committee is provided with official and clear answers to all the questions and inquiries that were raised."

Al-Janabi explained that "the committee's work plan for the new legislative session includes close monitoring of the work of ministries and directorates and auditing their files, in addition to reviewing all concluded contracts."

Al-Janabi stressed that "the council and before it the public opinion will seek clear and rapid steps regarding activating the oversight role of parliamentary integrity and accelerating the demand to hold accountable those proven to the committee members to have been negligent, whether in the administrative or financial aspect."
