    The Ministry of Electricity announced, on Sunday, the formation of a permanent operations room to manage the million-person visit, in accordance with the directives of the Prime Minister. While specifying its tasks, it confirmed the existence of a full alert for its stations in the governorates of Najaf, Karbala, and Babylon.
    The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Moussa, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "there is a permanent operations room formed under the direction of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, headed by Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadhil to manage the million-person visit."

    He explained that "the operations room will work to secure the paths of visitors in terms of lighting, secure the service of the Husseini processions, and ensure complete stability for the governorates of Najaf, Karbala, and Babylon, without affecting the rest of the governorates."

    He continued, "The permanent operations room will also monitor the movement of visitors from the governorates, which will reduce the burden on those governorates, and this energy will be used for the benefit of the governorates of Najaf, Karbala, and Babylon." He

    stressed that "the decision to stabilize electrical energy in the governorates of Najaf, Karbala, and Babylon will not affect the shares of the rest of the governorates at all."

    He pointed out that "there is an emphasis on all stations in the aforementioned governorates being on full alert and operating at maximum capacity, as generating units, transmission lines and transformer stations have been secured to discharge energy to the three governorates." He pointed

    out that "the ministry is working on rehabilitating distribution networks, installing transformers and dividing the staff into technical stations, to be ready and provide services in the governorates of Babylon, Najaf and Karbala."
