    Al-Maalouma/Baghdad...
State of Law Coalition member Saad Al-Quraishi confirmed on Tuesday that the conflict over the leadership of the Sunni component keeps the dispute between Halbousi and Al-Khanjar ongoing and keeps the presidency of parliament under the authority of Mohsen Al-Mandalawi.
Al-Quraishi told /Al-Maalouma/ agency that "the ongoing conflict between Khamis Al-Khanjar and Mohammed Al-Halbousi over the position of Parliament Speaker is irresolvable, despite the existence of political moves to resolve the crisis within the Sunni house."
He added that "the most prominent beneficiary of the continuation of the conflict and the failure to resolve matters within the Sunni house is Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, as he will remain the acting Speaker of the House of Representatives and continue to hold sessions normally until the new president is chosen."
He explained that "the Sunni community is harmed by the continuation of the conflict over the position, as whoever obtains the presidency of parliament will also obtain the leadership of the Sunni component," noting that "Halbousi and Al-Khanjar are not prepared to make concessions regarding the position for fear of losing the leadership."
