MP Hatem Al-Saedi identified, on Saturday, the negatives of the Cabinet’s decision regarding Iraqi oil companies.
Al-Saadi told Al-Maalouma Agency, "Oil companies are making exceptional efforts to continue production and ensure the continuity of pumping oil to global markets, stressing that Cabinet Resolution No. 26400 will transform companies from profitable to losing and will lead to long-term consequences."
He added, "Any decision that harms the economy must be stopped, calling for it to be reconsidered, cancelled, and the rights of oil company employees to be preserved."
He pointed out that "oil wealth is the backbone of the national economy, and any decision that affects the rights of company employees has serious repercussions."
It is noteworthy that the Council of Ministers took a decision regarding the profits of oil companies and transferring a portion of them directly to the state treasury. End 25 F
