    Baghdad Today - Sulaymaniyah
Former Kurdish MP Ghaleb Mohammed proposed, on Tuesday (September 10, 2024), a solution that would initially end the crisis of salaries of Kurdistan Region employees.
Mohammed said in an interview with Baghdad Today that "if the federal government is facing problems in localizing the salaries of employees in Erbil and Dohuk, it is not facing any problems in localizing the salaries of employees in Sulaymaniyah, because of its relationship with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan."
He added, "The government can start localizing employees' salaries in Sulaymaniyah, and this will make things much easier for it, because if employees' salaries are localized in Sulaymaniyah and things go normally, then pressures will occur in Erbil and Dohuk for the purpose of demanding localization."
On Friday (September 6, 2024), Representative Ghaleb Mohammed confirmed that there is no solution to the crisis of employees’ salaries in the Kurdistan Region except by localizing salaries in federal banks.
Mohammed said in an interview with Baghdad Today, "This crisis will continue every month, because the violations of the regional government continue every month."
He added, "All these problems will be solved monthly through the localization of salaries, which is the only solution that ends the salary crisis from its roots, and maintaining the compliments of the political parties in Baghdad to the regional government complicates the crisis."
He pointed out that "unfortunately, there are compliments from the government parties in Baghdad for electoral purposes, otherwise the Federal Court's decision is clear and explicit regarding the localization of salaries in federal banks."
