Minister of Trade Athir Dawood Al-Ghariri announced the completion of the final versions of the joint memoranda of understanding between Iraq and Iran, which will be signed tomorrow, Wednesday, during the Iranian President’s visit to Iraq.
The minister said in a statement received by (Mawazine News), "The Iraqi-Iranian talks took place over the past two days and included intensive meetings attended by sectoral bodies from both countries, to reach understandings for the final forms of the memoranda of understanding, which come within the framework of their efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation in various economic and investment fields and expand the base of mutual interests." He stressed: "It is scheduled to sign 14 memoranda of understanding covering various fields such as agriculture, water resources, communications, mail, free zones, social care, training, media, tourism, education, and joint chambers of commerce." It is noteworthy that the meetings were managed by the Ministry of Commerce as the rapporteur of the joint committees assigned to the Department of Foreign Economic Relations.
