Today, Wednesday, Alaa Al-Haidari, a member of the Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee, accused the Kurdistan Region of continuing oil smuggling operations.

Al-Haidari told Al-Maalouma Agency, "OPEC informed the Federal Ministry of Oil in an official letter that there was an increase in Iraqi oil exports to global markets."
He added, "After the Federal Ministry of Oil investigated, there is no increase from the southern outlets, and it was confirmed that the oil companies operating in the region are carrying out their drilling, exploration and export activities in illegal ways."
"There are approximately 220 thousand barrels smuggled daily to Türkiye." End/25H
