    The Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the acting head of the Department of Foreign Relations in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Reber Ahmed, said today, Thursday, September 19, 2024, that China has opened a representative office in the Kurdistan Region under complex circumstances.[/size]
    [size=45]This came in a speech he delivered during the ceremony celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in Erbil, in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani.[/size]
    [size=45]The Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government congratulated the government of the People's Republic of China on the occasion of its celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China, which is considered one of the oldest civilizations.[/size]
    [size=45]Reber Ahmed expressed his thanks to the Chinese government for its cooperation and coordination, noting that the decision to open a representative office of the People's Republic of China in the Kurdistan Region since 2014 was an important step, noting that this step during the war against ISIS was evidence of China's deep interest in Kurdistan.[/size]
    [size=45]The Kurdistan Interior Minister added that China has made intensive efforts in developing trade, enhancing human capacity and resources, as well as facilitating cultural and scientific exchanges.[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that the opening of the Chinese Language Department at Salahaddin University and the Kurdish Language Department at Peking University are a prominent example of the strength of relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the People's Republic of China.[/size]
    [size=45]Ahmed stressed that the Kurdistan Regional Government has worked to strengthen economic, trade, cultural and scientific relations with envoys of countries, with a special focus on developing human capabilities and resources, noting that more than 300 employees of the Kurdistan Regional Government have benefited from training courses provided by China.[/size]
    [size=45]Reber Ahmed explained that many Chinese companies operate in the Kurdistan Region, and that Chinese products are widely available in the region.[/size]
    [size=45]He also touched on facilitating the procedures for issuing Chinese visas to businessmen and traders in the Kurdistan Region, stressing that this would contribute to strengthening trade relations between the two sides.[/size]
