Justice begins census of government properties

The Ministry of Justice continued its mechanism of operations for counting the properties belonging to state institutions as part of its plans to inventory government real estate.
Murad Al-Saadi, Director of the Relations and Media Department at the Ministry, told Al-Sabah: The Ministry aims through this step to inventory the properties, real estate and lands belonging to government institutions, as a mechanism has been prepared to inventory them and prepare a special database for them to ensure their preservation and not to be seized by some fraudulent persons. He explained that the Minister of Justice directed the formation of a committee headed by the Administrative Undersecretary of the Ministry and the membership of the Real Estate Registration for the purpose of immediate work on the inventory process, and the work will begin at the Ministry of Justice and then proceed to other ministries and government institutions.
Al-Saadi explained that there are government institutions that are unaware of the ownership of some lands to them, which prompted the weak-willed and fraudulent to seize and dispose of them, which prompted the Ministry to count and inventory all those properties.
He pointed out that the Ministry is working in coordination with the Public Prosecution Committee to protect the rights and properties of government institutions and individuals, as this falls on its responsibility by preparing plans and mechanisms that secure all those rights.
