The Military Industrialization Authority announced, today, Tuesday, the commencement of contracts to localize the military industry, noting that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani provided great support in order to advance the national military industries.
The head of the authority, Mustafa Aati, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The support of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani for the Military Industrialization Authority is not new, but he is the founder of the Industrialization Authority and its return since he was the Minister of Industry and Minerals," noting that "al-Sudani is the one who established the seed of the nucleus of military industries and then followed up his procedures in the House of Representatives by legislating its law and after he was assigned the duties of the Prime Minister's Office, there was unlimited support through continuous directives and his support for contracts through the security forces."
Aati added that "the authority today has begun contracting and localizing the industry, and this is due to the support of the Prime Minister, in his belief that military industries are important in enhancing the capabilities of the security forces."
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani had previously inaugurated a light ammunition production plant in the industrial complex of the Military Industrialization Authority south of the capital, Baghdad, and also inaugurated a mortar shell factory in the industrial complex of the Military Industrialization Authority.[/size]
