Algerian Ambassador to Al Sabah: Heading to sign memoranda and cooperation agreements with Iraq

Algerian Ambassador to Iraq Jihad Eddine Belkas revealed the intention to sign a package of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries, and to open an air route between Baghdad and Algeria.
Belkas told Al-Sabah: "It is hoped that a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed, including those related to the fields of economy, trade and culture, in addition to tourism, higher education, youth and media, in addition to cooperation between chambers of commerce and investment bodies."
The Algerian ambassador also expressed his "hope to reach an agreement on establishing a business council and implementing the proposal to start an air transport agreement between the two parties to open an air route between the two capitals," indicating that "the two countries have political and diplomatic relations characterized by coordination and political consultation on bilateral relations and identical positions in all regional and international forums, especially issues of interest to both countries, such as combating terrorism, combating drug and psychotropic substance trafficking, and confronting organized crime in all its forms, in addition to the agreement of visions on Arab issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue."
