The Prime Minister's Advisor for Economic Affairs, Mazhar Mohammed Salih, revealed that about 85% of Iraqi citizens depend on government salaries, indicating that the government is keen to provide them with financial liquidity and there is no fear for their salaries.

Salih said: There are more than 4 million employees and a similar number of retirees and social care workers who receive government salaries.

He added that the government income supports a family, and each family has 5 members, which means that there are 8 to 9 million citizens, representing 80 to 85% of the Iraqi people, and they receive government salaries.
He added that the financial system in Iraq is a social system and the government is keen to provide them with financial liquidity.
