Russia prepares to rain down hellfire on ISIS: Putin's forces deploy 'Blazing Sun' heavy flamethrower missile launcher to Syria... which is capable of flattening eight city blocks

Russia has deployed one of the deadliest weapons in its arsenal as part of their military action in Syria, according to reports.
The mobile multiple rocket launcher - TOS-1A - features thermobaric weapons which can destroy eight city blocks in one strike, causing indiscriminate damage.
This comes as Moscow announced that Russian fighter jets hit 40 ISIS targets in Syria since Tuesday morning.

Deadly force: Russia has reportedly deployed at least one heavy flamethrower missile launcher in Syria
The TOS-1A system is a 30- or 24-barrel multiple rocket launcher and thermobaric weapons mounted on a T-72 tank chassis.
Recent pictures shared on social media purports to show at least one mobile TOS-1A being used by government forces in Syria.
The TOS-1A Solntsepyok(meaning 'blazing sun') arrived in Syria earlier this month, according to the IBTimes, citing a Russian newspaper.
The TOS-1A Heavy Flamethrower System, also nicknamed Buratino after a Russian children's book character, can destroy several city blocks in one strike,
The thermobaric warheads, also called vacuum or fuel-air explosives, spreads a flammable liquid around a target and then ignites the liquid.

The blast is lethal in itself, but the vacuum that follows the explosion is strong enough to cause deadly internal damage, including rupturing of vital organs, such as the lungs.
A study by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency from as early as 1993, writes that the effect of a thermobaric weapon on targets in confined spaces, such as buildings, bunkers and tunnels, is 'immense'.
'Those near the ignition point are obliterated. Those at the fringe are likely to suffer many internal, and thus invisible injuries, including burst eardrums and crushed inner ear organs, severe concussions, ruptured lungs and internal organs, and possibly blindness.'
The TOS-1A has reportedly been used by the Russian Army since 2001 and has also been exported to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Iraq where it has already been used to fight ISIS.
This follows reports that Russia also reportedly moved the TOS-1 system into rebel-held Ukraine earlier this month.
The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe - which is monitoring a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine - reported that its monitors had spotted a mobile TOS-1 Buratino system just two weeks ago.

Lethal: A thermobaric rocket spreads a flammable liquid around a target and then ignites the liquid, creating not just an explosion, but also a vacuum strong enough to cause deadly internal damage
Earlier today, Russia's defence ministry reported that it's fighter jets had hit 40 ISIS targets over the past 24 hours, destroying several ammunition depots and training camps.
'From the Hmeimim air base, the crews of Su-34, Su-24M and Su-25SM warplanes carried out 41 sorties against 40 targets of the Islamic State's terrorist infrastructure in Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia, Hama and Deir Ezzor,' said a ministry spokesman.
In the vicinity of the city of Aleppo, Russian bombers destroyed facilities used by fighters to make explosive devices and car bombs, spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a statement.
'They were intended to be used to carry out terror acts in Syrian cities and settlements as well as during attacks on the positions of government troops,' he added.
In the area of Hreitan in Aleppo province, a Russian aircraft destroyed an ammunition depot that belonged to IS jihadists.

Attack: Russia says its warplanes carried out an airstrike on an ISIS ammunition depot in the Syrian province of Hama on Tuesday, as well as dozens of other attacks

Russian warplanes also hit a training camp in the mountains of Idlib province, which was 'destroyed,' Konashenko said.
Maintenance shops used to equip vehicles with mortars, heavy machine guns and anti-aircraft systems which was located eight miles from Aleppo were also hit, he added.
A training camp in the same area was also destroyed, while in Hama and Latakia provinces Russian bombers eliminated ammunition depots.
Strikes also destroyed a command post of a 'large IS group' in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor city, he claimed.
In late September, Moscow launched a bombing campaign in Syria, saying it needed to target Islamic State jihadists before they cross into Russia, which has a large Muslim population.
The US and its allies say the majority of Russian strikes have not hit IS but instead targeted rebel groups fighting Moscow's long-time ally President Bashar al-Assad as the Kremlin seeks to shore up the strongman's regime.
