    Search Director General of the Trade Bank of Iraq, Faisal Sam Alheims with Conception Flannery, Managing Director of the Office of Citibank in Iraq examine how which will develop and strengthen banking relations and financial exchanges between Citibank and the Trade Bank of Iraq, as well as lifting the barriers that stand in the way of traffic and movement of money Iraqi around the world).     Considering most banks on the swift network of global control and cards are already working just needs to be placed on forex as currency trading pairs! Oooooohhh Nooooooo! How long will this take how long is a piece of string?

    Citibank and jp Morgan bank visited iraq back in 09 to discuss correspondent servjces it was already in partnership with alwarka bank but I think alwarka moved to using a German bank as an intermediary by memory commerz bank because I remember doing wire transfer to iraq through the commmerz! So maybe this meeting all about renewing contracts and or agreements getting ready for the big switch!

    Mubasher: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) approved the working permit for Audi Bank to resume banking operations in Iraq, according to a statement.

    The CBI agreed to open a new branch to be the headquarters for Audi Bank in Baghdad; it also gave a preliminary approval to the Lebanese bank to open branches in Najaf, Erbil, Basra and Saladin governorates.

    Audi operates in more than 8 countries, namely: Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, France, Jordan and Syria, according to the bank’s website.

    Its assets rose to $42.27 billion in the last 7 years, up from $20.39 billion by the end of 2008.

    Yes indeed very exciting prospects here.... I'm certain the moving Iraqi money ie dinar around the world ie internationally traded won't be at a rate below Afghanistan's...  won't be at a rate below Kuwait either....
