    Asumaria News / Baghdad

demanded a number of citizens, on Thursday, the abolition of private banks, while one of them considered that the distribution of salaries to employees of the dollar would reduce the exchange rate in local markets.

One of the citizens said Hassan Kasd and called on the people and the people program , which broadcasts Al Sumaria that "most of the private banks in Iraq are required financing and investment operations and economic activities like other banks in the countries of the world , " noting that "these banks subsist on the central bank to get profits through currency auctions conducted by the day. "

Kasd He added that "these private banks are small banks do not have enough money to stimulate economic development, and therefore, some of them loiter in the return of the money deposited with him by the citizens , " and urged " the central bank to merge these banks or canceled."

For his part , Mohammed Kassem said " the state will not be able to control the exchange rate , unless the distribution of dollar salaries to employees, in addition to the participation of a limited number of private banks in the currency auction."

He added Kassem said "some private banks in Iraq , does not exercise the banking activity and banking companies but contended in its buying and selling of the dollar , rather than conducting finance and investment and support the private sector."

Considered for economic and investment commission in Parliament on Wednesday (November 23), that "spoilers" control over the work of most of the banks is one of the reasons for "foot - dragging" of those banks and their reliance on auction sell the currency to obtain imports and profits and its inability to support investment.
