{Baghdad} Euphrates News called for Security and Defense Committee member of the parliamentary Hoshyar Abdullah, on Thursday, the government to provide the necessary protection for Iraqi journalists.
Abdullah stressed in a statement, the agency {Euphrates News} received a copy of it today that " the committee is following seriously and attention to the issue of kidnapped journalist Afrah Shawqi al - Qaisi , " and urged " the government and security agencies to provide more protection for journalists."
He said that "the security and defense committee in Parliament following with great interest the issue of the abduction of journalist joys in conjunction with the ongoing investigation by the security services by order of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces , " noting that "this crime can not go unpunished deterrent."
He added that "it is unfortunate that the series targeting of journalists in Iraq and Kurdistan continues to be that threatens press freedom in the core, and the duty of the government and its security forces to provide more protection for journalists" .anthy
