Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticized the use of German Chancellor Angela Merkel the term "Islamic terrorism", saying that the statement is not true and sadden the Muslims.
After bilateral talks, Merkel spoke of the need for cooperation of Germany and Turkey in the war on terrorism, including "Islamic terrorism" and the PKK.
Merkel said at a news conference with Erdogan: "We talked in detail about, addressing the issue of Islamic terrorism, and against every form of terrorism, and also the PKK terrorism."
She added, "We have agreed that we want to cooperate, we are all affected by this. We agreed on the deal close in the future."

Erdogan responded to Merkel, saying that "this expression is not true Islam and terrorism can not be linked to each other."
He stressed that it "is saddened" that this expression is used because of what is known as organized crimes of the Islamic state.
He added, "Please do not use this expression, and if used must stand against him, as head of a Muslim, I can not personally accept it."
German Chancellor also emphasized the need for the constitutional amendments proposed by the ruling party in Turkey, which guarantees freedom of expression and freedom of the media.
However, Erdogan said that those freedoms are not vulnerable.
This is the first Merkel's visit to Turkey since the failed coup, which took place last July.
Some in Germany criticized Merkel's visit to Turkey, and expressed concern that working to legalize what they call growing authoritarianism of the Turkish government.
