Jubouri Kubic: The need to be accurate in air strikes because the enemy hide the civilians

    Release date: 2017/3/27 23:01

    [Ayna - Baghdad]
Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jubouri on Monday called for precision in directing air strikes in the new city of Mosul.
"The Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim al-Jubouri received in his office on Monday, the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubic, and reviewed the meeting the latest political and security developments in Iraq, in addition to The issue of aerial bombing of civilians in the new Mosul and the need to be accurate in directing air strikes and taking into account the population density of the city, especially as the enemy hide among civilians.
"The role of the security forces, which are fighting terrorism and are making great efforts to liberate the homeland, is calling for the liberated forces to take into account the city's crowded conditions to ensure that the mistakes of military operations are not repeated again," he said.
He called on the United Nations and humanitarian organizations to do their best to help displaced people and provide them with food and health assistance, after the terrorist increased the frequency of targeting them by bombing homes and blowing up car bombs in densely populated neighborhoods.
For his part, Jan Kubic said that "the United Nations, with the assistance of international organizations, seeks to provide all means of aid and relief for the displaced in Mosul."
