Launched the Ministry of Communications yesterday optical access network services (FTTH) , which is being implemented by the facilitator of the Japanese loan for Iraq allocations.
He announced the Information Office of the Ministry director Hazem Mohammed at a press conference held at the ministry 's headquarters in Baghdad yesterday that the completion rate in the access optical network in Beirut Square area and Palestine Street project exceeded the 80%, pointing to prepare a plan for the completion of the optical lines in the Cairo neighborhood and people with a capacity of 35 A - line light, as well as the installation of 79 cabins light out of 139 cabins in the areas of Rusafa, one cabin that persisting capacity of 256 lines scanned.
He pointed out that the activities of the launch of this project will be held in the office of the ministry next Monday, and noted that this project offers a lot of services in the field of communications and information technology in addition to other services are in the service of the citizen.

Meanwhile the ministry confirmed the lack of financial security or damage to the optical cable project, indicating that it has taken all legal and security measures before embarking on the project, warning that the suspension of the project would harm the ministry.
Mohammed explained that «the Ministry of Communications has all the legal and security measures before embarking on a project optical cable», indicating that «from within those procedures are also presented to the media», adding that « the project presented to the Committee of National Security , which in turn has given approval by», stressing « the lack of any security or financial damage to the subject, particularly with regard to waste public money, but on the contrary , the project did not cost the state any material amounts.»
And the Information Office of the Director of the «company executing the project reached the stages of 80 percent of it, and any damage will stop work at the Ministry of Communications through financial obligations on them.»
Said Communications Minister Hassan Kazem Al - Rashed said earlier that « the General Company for Post & Telecommunications signed a contract with the approved Sky Company to extend the network cable light in the Karkh district and other parts of Baghdad», adding that « the network will deliver them to the homes of subscribers».
The minister added that « the network will be by 50 thousand pilot line which will provide services 99 satellite channel encrypted quality HD, as well as audio and video communications and Internet service», indicating that « the project would re - ground phone service new technology».

The spokesman for the ministry , Uday Qasim Alwan said in a statement that the contract included the approved sky company running the optical telephone networks (FTTH) and deliver the optical cable to all homes in the areas covered in the contract and the provision of landline services, Internet services and other technology.
He added that the new terrestrial networks are very modern global technology working in the developed world and provides high - speed packet data transfer in addition to these networks offer more than one service at the same time .
On his part, Director General of the General Company for Communications and e Saleh Hassan Ali that this contract represents a great step in the development of services provided to citizens and ground telephone networks is a cornerstone foundation of the infrastructure of the Ministry of Communications, urged the sky company and all its affiliates officials to make more efforts to develop Iraq 's telecommunications sector and to provide better services to the citizen suitable prices and high quality.
