Basra province has a number of ports of Umm Qasr and Khor Al - Zubair and Abu fils, the stronghold, while the work is underway on the completion of the port of Faw to be one of the largest ports of the region.
He added that the company operates within a broad plan for the development and rehabilitation of all ports in the country in order to raise fiscal revenue for the company in particular and the state treasury in general, pointing at the same time it plans to set up a container terminal at the port of Faw after the arrival of the project breakers eastern and western waves to the advanced stages of achievement.
Net and noted that the company carried out during the past period of several projects, contributed to the improvement of the financial reality, and among those projects, the creation of new platforms and improved drilling depths to allow the entry of giant vessels in order to increase the trade exchange.
He said that the ports make up for the time Alhasr an important trading center in the transport of goods, especially that the country has an important strategic location that contributes to increasing port activity, which has become an important economic resource for the country and provide employment opportunities for the unemployed.
